Rui Matsunaga is a Japanese contemporary artist, lives and works in Japan/UK. She studied painting at MA(Hons) Royal Academy Schools (1999-2002), BA(Hons) Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (1996-1999). Her works are in the collection such as Victoria & Albert Museum, University of Arts London, SOHO House Amsterdam, Clifford Chance Art Collection, House of St. Barnabas among many. She was a finalist for John Moores Painting Prize 2012, Celeste Art Prize 2007. She is going to have her solo exhibition at the Atkinson (South Port Museum), Daiwa Anglo Japanese Foundation in 2021/22.
